Birthday Boy

Last night was our friend Matt's surprise 30th birthday party. We had a great time and made all kinds of plans with people that we did not keep today. Including going to look at a chihuahua dauchsund puppy that was up for adoption. It seemed like a great idea last night, and we are, indeed, looking for a puppy, but this morning we didn't go. I'm not sure if we're ready for a dog in this house. I'd love a dog, but not really in a place that I'm renting. My Catholic guilt would get to me if the dog messed anything up. And we were both too hung over this morning to go look at any dog.

This is a picture of my friend Jen and I. We're going to be working together at my new job - and I'm excited about it.


Matt's wife Trish managed to pull off this amazing party with a ton of Matt's friends from various parts of his life and he didn't have a clue. She was super stressed during the planning but made up for it by imbibing and laughing all night with everyone.

I can't make fun of him because I was drunk too and was so excited when I found out one of my friends from my old job was there and she's taken up knitting! I made plans with her that I plan to keep to go over and knit and see her baby! Stacy, the girl adopting the puppy today is also a knitter, so I'm super excited to get together with them again. Hopefully our plans work out in the sobriety of the work week.
